Misdiagnosed for my GMC 1500 Denali regarding engine light came on. Diagnostic low battery and charged for service over $200 dollars. I got new battery installed and the engine light still on.

Ron Tonkin saved me!! had my truck at another dealership for diagnostics due to it losing power and turning off. They let me leave and of course not even a week later I was having to tow my truck into Ron Tonkin. Thank goodness I went to them!! Was told by Nolan he was waiting for approval from our extended warranty. Never asked if we wanted to pay if it wasn't covered. Didn't have the air filter in stock adding another 20+ min. Oil change tire rotation and filter almost 2 and 1/2 hours. Could have used better communication.

Horrible service experience. Car spent 3 days at dealership. They said they were "unable to duplicate fault" to we brought it home. Next morning car faults worse than ever. 10 Minutes on Google located a service bulletin that EXACTLY matches the fault. Come on guys what are we paying you for?

This is our first experience with Ron Tonkin Chevrolet at Portland, OR. We bought our 2023 Toyota Tacoma Truck (9000 miles) with $40000. Right after we brought the truck home, we found out it was leaking oil. When we brought the truck to Toyota Service as the truck is still under Warranty, we were told by the truck had been brought there for oil leak prior to selling it to us. The service Advisor should have done this differently and with a overnight APPT why do you not have a cost free service Vs. 20.00 credit? It cost me an extra 100.00 dollars for the dealership to work on my car. Being this was 2nd visit for same issue and the service advisor who worked on my car new what issue was by Mfg builton and should put parts in first Vs. Doing a 200.00 diagnostic
Everyone treated my daughter and me with respect and truly interested in our needs and budget. Travis Zea worked very hard for us and was extremely helpful. The finance lady was wonderful as well. We also worked withe other sales people at other Tonkin dealers and were also treated well.
We came in and were helped immediately and then shown a number of options but ultimately found the right vehicle for us, thought we couldn’t afford it, but made things work. The folks at the dealership were very helpful in making sure things could work for us and got us rebates and deals I’d never expected. All in all, an excellent experience.
I’m from Texas and had a huge oil leak while on vacation and the other dealership I stopped at said they couldn’t even start fixing my truck for 2 weeks.
